****Rice ED Class Of 2022 Thread****

@Xer2022 – It sounds like he is missing the ED contract that the student, parent, and counselor all have to sign and upload to their admissions portal. It’s the document that says you understand that ED is binding and you will withdraw all other applications if you are accepted to Rice.

@Domer97, we are from CA. My son loved Rice when we visited the campus. He wants to do pre-med and he feels Rice offers the best opportunities for him - small college feel, great research facilities, surrounded by Texas medical center, relatively good weather (compared to the north east), urban setting, etc. He is as anxious as some of you here.

@jayparent Good luck! I have my fingers crossed for him and for everyone else.

@ballup it’s because I was an undergrad over the summer so I probably already had access, probably haven’t got in already

Has anyone heard any updates about when the decisions will be posted?

Mid December.

@Burke1 Most likely this Friday at 4pm CT based on past dates

two days left! good luck and stay strong!!

quick question: did anyone use an app fee waiver? on my portal the check isn’t green but it says waived. does this mean i am good?

@matt2122 i’m not sure. I’ve got all green checks on my student portal. you’d better call the admissions office.

okay now my esther is letting me click more links under office of financial aid. before it was just an error message. anyone else have this happen to them? I know we came to the conclusion that esther didn’t determine acceptance but still.

What links?

@JenniferFeng2000 did you use an app fee waiver or did you pay the app fee?

@matt2122 – My son used a fee waiver. The checkmark is gray on his application checklist, while all the other checkmarks are green.

@matt2122 It’s the same for me too. I think it is okay because it is a check mark, if we were missing anything it would be a red X

If you get in congratulations! I don’t know why I applied my stats are way below Rice’s average.

@Legends More financial aid links than before.

same tbh  hoping for the best ig @Legends

Last year, results came out on a Friday which would correspond this Friday. Good luck!

Also PS to people worried about grey check mark, if you had a fee waiver that is how it should look

wdym, i only have links to view financial aid requirements and awards
