YOLololol, I think her school did already. Well her school calender is a bit different from American schools so that might be the reason. Don’t worry too much, just turn in whenever it’s ready and you will be fine.
i submitted mine with my transcript
I’m assuming we are hearing decisions on December 15th.
@YoLolololol Last year decisions came out on the 16th a Friday! I do remember there were lots of conspiracy theories out there and people that were making stuff up giving information. It was the most stressful week of his life waiting beware. I remember hearing information about getting a certain email and my son not receiving it. It was an email about esther. So when decisions came out he was so sure he didn’t get in because of this. Also you can get a notification about mail as it got closer. People were checking that way also. There were even people saying decisions were out when they were not true. Getting hopes up. Good luck! I remember how excited my son was. I would make sure your mom or dad films the answer on a camera. I just remember when it happened I wished I did. I know he was nervous of the result so I am thinking that is why he was afraid to.
Any SOAR attendees here? How much does SOAR help with ED admissions?
Hey have you guys finished the css profile application?
Does anyone know how to fill out the noncustodial parent section. Parent having trouble filling it out.
That was due 11/15. When you fill it out you then must wait “hours” for the IDOC to open. I say " hours" because it was actually several days for ours to open.
Anyone receive Esther login?
I did. Do we have any reason to believe that that’s at all significant?
It seemed like there were people who received Esther login info and people who didn’t in previous years @rice2022
I received mine
Is Esther different from the Rice applicant student portal? Thanks.
My D also received the Esther email but seems like it’s only notifying an instruction about financial aid application follow-up. So, is this something important with regards to final admission?
I don’t think so. My son received it also, but we specified not applying for financial aid in common app
Interesting… Esther was sent to me so I could check my financial aid documents. What did your son’s email say?
I didn’t apply for financial aid either. The only reason I asked is because it seems from last year’s thread some people got logins and some didn’t, and perhaps there was a correlation to admission. That seems to not be the case this year, though.
I don’t know what the e-mail exactly said, my son just told me something about Esther for financial aid available
Did anyone not receive ESTHER login info? I was going through last year’s thread and basically what I saw was that those people who got ESTHER login before decisions came out were accepted. I say this because I visited Rice this past week and one of the students told me that ESTHER is the system used to register for classes, do all sorts of things with aid, etc. However, I don’t know if now everyone is going to be given the log in info.
Humm… . I thought it was strange too because we didn’t apply for financial aid but then getting this Esther login email giving all the instructions on applying for a financial aid?
@NEC2022, my son got the Esther account and we were able to login. I hope that means he got in!
It was all about the status of the financial aid documents though.
