@newbee18 I think they only require it from currently waitlisted applicants. But if your final scores are impressive I would suggest you do so.
Rice has rolling admissions for transfer students, and their notification window this year is between May 1- June 1. I am waiting to hear back as well
does anyone feel we might hear decisions this afternoon?
anything anyone?
To enrolling students: if you want to live off-campus in a 2 bedroom apartment, I’m looking for a roommate. Msg me for details!
It’s already pretty late huh = =
No wish to go no matter it takes me or not
Planning to stay in CA
Just got rejected, not very upsat though, I guess the waiting has already wore out my expectation and enthusiasum
Yh, I just got rejected too . still hoping on UT Austin though (fingers crossed), they are better in Chemical Engineering. Goodluck to those of you going to Rice though, I visited the campus for Spring break, and I’m sure you’ll have fun
meant at the end.
Anyone on the waitlist hear back?
Does anyone hear back?
@Brian0129 wl decision?
@Miyamoto Yes. Do you know anyone get off from wait list?
@Brian0129 No. I doubt Rice has released the waitlist decisions.
Also on the waitlist I turned down Vanderbilt and kinda regret. Plan to study economics and aiming at business career. Got Umich and NYU now. Any advice? What is our chance to get off Rice waitlist since it is June now…really sad. I love Rice more than other schools
@elizayp I checked other Rice transfer forum and found a guy who called AO said that every year, no more than 5 people eventually get off the list. It would be sad if you end up declining all other schools without eventually getting into Rice, so I think you may wanna consider accepting an offer. If I were you I would probably choose NYU, because of its location and chance for economics students.
If you see page 7(??) you will find a guy posting something bad about Rice, he/she didn’t explain in detail though. You may wanna ask him/her.
thank you for your advice. I may pick up NYU
Anyone on the list got this?
My name is Brandon Mack and I am the Coordinator of Transfer Admission at Rice University. We are contacting students who have accepted a position on our waitlist to gauge where Rice University is among their college options. If you could please answer these questions, because they will be used in our waitlist discussions.
- Are you still interested in attending Rice University?
- From a scale of 0-100, with 100 being the highest, what is the likelihood that you would accept an offer of admission and attend the University, if offered a place in the incoming class.
If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
@Miyamoto yes I got this today
@elizayp thank you. I guess everyone on the list got this, even though never heard that Rice had this norm.
