Rice Interim Decision Official Post

i did a drawing in my box emphasizing my interest for stem cell research

i got it, got it

got in of course!
Elated, joyful, the list goes on!
Now time to decide between numerous schools!
This could be very tough!

Admitted! SAT (old): 800 V, 780 M
SAT 2's : 800. 790, 770
Don't feel like listing anything else right now. Hoping for some merit scholarships!

What you all are forgetting is what Rice says about their admission policy. "As a result of this some very able candidates will be denied." Quit beating yourself up. There are only so many vacancies.

However, I didn't see anything in the admission packet about scholarships... are they just giving those to Texas residents right now? I'm hoping for something

scholarships given by rice univeversity, you are automatically considered for those.

i was accepted with the trustee distinguished scholarship, $54k, $13.5 a year, i think it was only in the packet, not online

General Comments:

you seem pretty qualified doc, remember that they reject many qualified people dont be dissapointed

anyone going to the april 20th owl weekend?

damn, highschooldoc how did they reject u? I had worse stats than u and I got deferred.

dont worry about it doc. Youll definitely get into another college that you may even like more than you thought. As many people say, it may be a blessing in disguise. ( i wish I had stats like yours)

HighschoolDoc-I could only wish for your credentials. You'll do fine wherever you go. If you want to go to Rice, try again next year.
