<p>I'm currently attending Univ. of Rochester. But I applied to transfer to Rice and got in. I'm a sophomore majoring mechE. Can someone tell me more about MechE at Rice? Right now I'm debating whether it's worth spending so much effort transferring to rice for MechE.</p>
<p>MY s says the freshman yr Mech E class are general math and science courses- so you shouldnt have trouble trandferring in and feeling behind. He was very happy with small class sizes, available/accessible/dedicated faculty, who work with you on projects, etc. He loved the program, and Rice.</p>

<p>Rice has the new design kitchen for students to use to work on engineering projects… Rice is a great school for Mech E. It’s finals week, so you may not get a whole lot of responses here - lots of last-minute studying going on!</p>
