6 suicides in the span of two months is not an anomaly my friends…it’s a trend. I think it’s a terrible tragedy but the fact that these Cornell students chose to end their lives in such a dramatic fashion is something that should be very concerning to the Cornell administration.

I know the high school seniors are now taking a hard look at Cornell and this series of events is impacting their decision-making process. I can’t imagine the emotional toll that seeing weekly reports of suicides on campus must have on the rest of the student body.

This is an issue that we simply cannot ignore.

this is kind of fun. Lesdiablesbleus, I see you responded, but I’m enjoying the fact that I cannot read it :)

This is quite a coincidence, I ws just talking to a college friend (about the game) whose career was in biotech. He said he he was planning to send his own kid to Cornell AEM for business, and it was about as good as it gets for a combination of bio and business. I knew nothing about this thread at the time.

I think I read something like 55% of Rice students subsequently are employed in Texas, so If that’s a desired destination seems like you can’t do much better. But it’s a great school, undoubtedly with a somewhat different atmosphere, and a lot of Texans. Vs a lot of NY/ Northeasterners. Go where you think you might like it best, I’d say.
