https://registrar.rice.edu/students/ap_credit/#ap%20credit indicates that Rice takes AP CS A with a score of 4 as 3 credits of COMP 110. Oddly, https://courses.rice.edu/admweb/swkscat.main?p_action=CATALIST&p_acyr_code=2014&p_subj=COMP lists COMP 110 as a MATLAB or Mathematica using course in computing for science and engineering (AP CS A is a Java based general CS course, although not always accepted for subject credit at many colleges). CS majors are supposed to take COMP 140 or 160, according to http://www.compsci.rice.edu/emplibrary/ACF65B.pdf .
rice might care if you drop the course, but they won’t care how you do on the exam
