Hey, guys. Have anyone already upload this image? I have no idea what to upload. Maybe I can take a photograph that I am interested in? I need some advice! Thank you! :)

17 year olds are very worried about this question.

Anything you like will do. Rice does not want people have no ‘likes’.

Thank Texaspg! I am searching something I like as well as appeals to the admission officers. :p

It does not need to appeal to anyone other than you. Don’t waste much time on it.

Yes, you are right. My interest comes the first.

I think they just use it for your O-Week badge if you get in?

No, I got this request from common application, I am not assigned any O-Week Badge ID.

It’s nothing to do with O-Week, but I’m also sure it has no discernible effect on your application (unless you fill it up with swastikas or something, I suppose). Don’t worry about it.

They put the image you upload on your O-Week name badge, don’t they?

Unless they’ve changed things in the past couple years, the O-Week advisors never see the application Box. Generally they make a collage based on the interests you list on your housing questionnaire.

The image is not used for your O-week badge.

Maybe think about an image related to your major…something funny, something beautiful, something that shows taking another step in your quest for knowledge.

If you type a few key words into Google images, you might find what you need.

I might put up a picture of food since I like cooking haha.

I am still considering what kinda pic I would use. I may upload a photograph I take.

You can upload anything you want (with the exception of grains of Rice, which is so cliche). The point of the picture is something that appeals to YOU.

Don’t worry about this or overthink it. Put something fun or interesting representing you and your hobbies/interests/wishes.
