Note: Only 3 out of 21 applicants from my school have ever gotten in. However, I don’t believe any of them were ED so that may give me an edge.

You sound like an excellent applicant. You might be interested in playing in the Rice MOB (might be something to mention in the why Rice part of your application). However, with so many people applying, admission at Rice or any of its peers is a crap shoot for everyone. Asians are not an underrepresented minority at Rice. However, being from Florida should help as Rice does not get as many applicants from there as some other states such as Texas, New York, and California.
