<p>Hi I am a current Junior enrolled in the IB Program.</p>

<p>This past January 2014 I made a 2240 on the SAT, and this past April 2014 I made a 34 on the ACT.</p>

<p>It was my 2nd time taking the SAT. The first time I made a 2070 in June 2013.
It was my first time taking the ACT.</p>

<p>I am ranked in the top 3% of my class.</p>

<p>I know scores are definitely the only way colleges look at you, and I am also a swimmer (captain), volunteer a lot, etc. </p>

<p>However, my question simply is: would it really embellish my resume to retake the ACT or SAT? Is it worth it? Would it make me a better candidate for Rice?</p>

<p>I do not think that retaking is necessary. I got the same score on my ACT the first time, and I am not retaking. I have heard that scores do not matter after a certain threshold. Focus on other parts of your application because you have above average scores for Rice.</p>
