Hopefully Rice sticks to their word and comes out at 5 PM today, unlike Berkeley that kept everyone on the edge of their seats for like 3 hours…

@calgirl2015 @mw0307 Did they say ON April 1st or BY April 1st? That might just be their standard response, like how their website says ‘by April 1st.’ The person whose info we’re going by expecting it to be today was someone who got the info from their high school counselor.
Obviously it’s possible for them to release April 1st but it would be strange for them to delay decisions for so long. April 1st is after Ivy Day! And then it’s especially late considering that in past years they have released decisions much earlier than that (March 22/24/26 or something like that. I guess we’ll have to wait and see though.
It would be kind of mean for them to release April 1st and then rush you to commit to O day

Yeah, but you have to remember that is generally the standard response and they don’t tell you otherwise usually. So… they might not actually come out on April 1st.
I’m just hoping here though. I’ve just been through a lot of speculated admissions dates where people have called, gotten the April 1st response, and the decisions came out that day anyway.
This is incredible. I mean, I don’t consider Rice as having any obligation to release early, but its SO late
Do we know if that’s happened in the past specifically with Rice? I’ll try to look through old threads and see. I know we can’t do anything about it now, but I hate just sitting back and waiting. Best of luck to everyone!
