***Rice University RD Class of 2019 Discussion***

5th waitlist of 10 schools, well at least I didn’t get rejected, I suppose

lol rejected

Accepted! And to everyone else, rejected or waitlisted, I recieved 8 (yes, 8!) rejections in the past few days. This truly is a random process. I had lost all hope and this acceptance was blessing. You will find your perfect school, remember that things happen for reason!

waitlisted. now i have the easiest decision. be a golden bear. congrats to all potential owls.

Anyone know the Rice stats for this year? (#Applied, % Accepted, etc) Seems like it was very competitive. Congrats to all accepted.

BTW: Accepted Rice, Cornell, Vandy, Emory, Tulane

Accepted! Going to check aid when I get home but probably not much. It looks like I’m going to JHU!!!

Unless I get one of HYPS which is astronomically unlikely

When did we receive our Esther login credentials for checking financial aid? I don’t think I ever did, having combed my inbox.

Anyone have merit aid show up on ESTHER or is it all need-based?

3rd waitlist, and rest rejected from my reach schools. Only got into 1 of my reach schools so far. Welp.
Still awaiting the rest.

got rejected from both my reaches, at least I have Georgia Tech i guess

I AM IN SHOCK I WAS ACCEPTED
On my phone right now so I can barely read it

ACCEPTED! !!!

Waitlisted .-.

ACCEPTED

S was waitlisted

ACCEPTED WITH HALF TUITION SCHOLARSHIP!!!

You never know whatelse will happen! Good things are to come

Accepted!

im on esther; how can we check the estimated COA and need based aid? i haven’t submitted idoc yet so would that be why nothing is showing up for “view awards”? also where would merit aid show up??

PS I got waitlisted 5 times in a row (uchicago, wash u, northwestern, vandy, cmc), followed by a rejection from duke. I felt so awful this past week, but I got accepted to berkeley last night and rice just now. Don’t let them get to you. College decisions are tough to go through but they in no way reflect your worth as an individual. So many factors go in to a decision, many of which you can’t even control. Keep on keepin’ on c:

Accepted. Even though I was invited to VISION, I was still worried. Reading a message that begins with “congratulations” after a JHU waitlist and Stanford rejection feels great.
