I’d choose Rice based on its collaborative nature, smaller size, and being adjacent to the Texas Medical Center.
Rice’s RD decisions don’t come out until March 30, though, and if you were ED to Rice you are committed. Or did you get in via another program?
Have you visited both? Size and weather are legitimate reasons for selecting a school-and these two are very different.
Avoid Cornell. Pre-med is competitive enough. At Cornell, things can be cutthroat. Rice is a much more supportive environment.
