Rice vs U of M in Computer Science

I am thinking of applying to Rice ED. However, I wanted to know how Rice compared to U of M(my second choice) in the Computer Science department.

Is there a lot of research in the fields of Artificial Intelligence at Rice?

Is there a lot of design and creation courses at Rice (ex: how to build a processor)?

Do big tech companies go to Rice University to recruit?

How is University of Michigan better than Rice in CompSci? What advantages does that school have.
