I have until May 1st, and their financial aid office told me to send in my parents 2013 income tax returns as soon as possible so that they could give me my packet before May 1st.

@maryb4377 and @quotable, have you received anything in the mail from Rice yet, like an enrollment packet? We thought my D would by now. She is very torn between Rice and WashU, mostly around which will have the better social atmosphere. They are so similar academically, for dorms, campus setting (except weather) …

@slmheels no I have not received anything, but I was only accepted on Thursday. I was first called on Wednesday but missed the call. Well update if I do get something.

@slmheels I just received the official letter confirming my acceptance in the mail yesterday along with some reminders for financial aid and such and I was called on Tuesday. I agree that Wash U and Rice are very similar, but I mainly chose Rice not for their great academics but also for their social atmosphere. However, Rice does not have Greek life if that’s something to consider

Thank you both for the info. My D was called first on Tuesday and admitted on Wednesday, but nothing in the mail yet.

Anybody have any new information about the waitlist?

I also got off waitlist on Friday.

Does anyone know if rice is still going to the waitlist?

This is info for those still waiting/hoping as well as future classes. As of now, Rice admitted 133 people off their waitlist and their class is currently full. However, some people (if not all) are asked if they wanna remain on the waitlist in case some spots open up because of withdrawals.

Does anyone know what’s going on with the rice wait list… Besides the previous email from rice?

Is the waitlist closed?
