Richmond EA Class of 2023

Same here. Waiting on scholarship money and financial aid. Up for a full ride Stamps at Mercer and just got invite to Louisville for their full-ride scholarship weekend. Also attending full-ride scholarship weekend at Agnes Scott. Richmond is most academically competitive school that I am trying for full-tuition or better scholarship. With parents’ divorce have to follow the money for private school or go to public in-state. Hoping lightening will strike somewhere…

Does anyone know the acceptance rate of this EA cycle? Also, approximately how many kids receive the Presidential Scholarship?

Nothing from Richmond again today in the mail. Other people in my area in Maryland heard (1 deferred and 1 rejected) on Tuesday. Should I email Richmond soon or keep waiting? I’m not sure why others in the area have gotten their letters and I have not, especially since we live so close to Richmond.

@goingclassof2023 - you may wnat to check portal to make sure that all of your required materials (including first quarter grades) were received. I think that was an issue for another applicant on this thread.

@OFF2COLLEGE2 My D was also deferred, but for ED1. By any chance did you apply for FA?

Son accepted yesterday. From NC. 1400 SAT, 33 ACT, 4.2 weighted GPA. 10 APs. Good community service, strong writing skills and essay.

Well, still no envelope, either way, Can log into deposit portal although some other kids name comes up. Not sure what to make of it. The application checklist is complete except for selective service and since its a female that doesn’t apply so I guess I’ll see what tomorrow brings.

Accepted! California

Son accepted from NC. Presidential Scholarship. 1430 SAT, 32 ACT. 4.4 weighted, strong ECs. Strong essay. 15 IB/AP classes. Top 3 choice. Tulane (accepted) and UNC other top choices.

Has anyone gotten their financial aid yet? The website says that financial aid is given at the time of admission but I didn’t hear anything yet.

I didn’t get any financial aid letter or information either but I received my mail yesterday. I live in NJ so its weird that people near VA still haven’t got theirs.

@goingclassof2023 Richmond doesn’t reject anyone from EA according to the phone cll my counselor had with the they only accept or defer on EA. Did the rejected friend apply ED maybe?

my daughter did get accepted and was offered Presidential Scholarship. Unfortunately we will not be able to accept unless she miraculously gets accepted into Richmond Scholars since it is still too expensive for us…
not sure what her weighted GPA is (our school doesn’t do that) but 1520 on SAT, National Merit (hopefully) Finalist, 7 APs, great ECs and strong essay.
Hopefully if anyone hears about invitation to participate in Richmond Scholars next steps they will post since it appears that only those invited will hear and it would be good to know once people start hearing…

Does anyone know if there is still a possibility to get merit $ if I didn’t get the presidential scholarship?

To all who got a scholarship - did this come in the letter or separately?

Did your scholarship notification come in the envelope or separately?
