Congratulations to everyone who was accepted and hoping for good news for those affected by weather delays. My daughter applied EA so I’ll be in your shoes at the end of January!
Mail just came. It is Saturday’s mail and nothing from UR. I called the post office (small town) and there will only be packages this afternoon - no additional letters. The snow delay is brutal.
Same thing here. Letters came today and nothing from Richmond. Small town in Central Virginia with a foot of snow so perhaps tomorrow.
My daughter received her acceptance yesterday! We’re in Jacksonville, Florida. Best of luck to those of you waiting!
Nothing for us again today. Frustrating given we are in NJ and have seen social media posts of others in surrounding towns getting acceptance letters. I personally wish all schools would move to electronic notification. I get the excitement of receiving the big envelope in the mail. But in todays world where everything is posted on Instagram, Twitter and FB - it creates too much anxiety for those who have slow mail! Went through this with my older daughter last year - way too stressful!
I’m sorry for those who are still waiting. Our mail comes around 3 so I will know soon. My guess is that’s it’s not here either. Amazing that people in FL and OH got the mail, but those in VA and NJ didn’t.
No mail yet. For those who got in or are waiting, have you tried this yet, and if so, what does it say?

I couldn’t make a deposit, so I’m going to have to assume she didn’t get in.
@citymama9 from what I gathered, that glitch was fixed this year. For those accepted, is there a code to activate the payment portal?
Hang in there everyone. I’ll be back at work tomorrow so won’t know if the mail came until late - unless DH gets it.
@TwinMom2023 WHen you go to that link they ask for your UR ID and last name. I put the UR ID they give you when you apply, the one to check the portal. Do you think they give you a new ID when you are accepted? I would love to know that. I wish someone who was accepted can tell us. You are better off at work than waiting for the mail, lol.
My D got the small envelope and was deferred. Wishing you all the best!
I don’t like any of the reaction options for you, @citymama9 . Sorry that it’s not over yet…
Can people who get accepted post stats?
Oh no @citymama9 I am sorry to hear that. Well she still has RD, right? Older daughter was deferred from her top choice last year, so I have been there. Not easy, especially at this time of year. We are still waiting to hear. Good luck to your daughter, and good luck to everyone else!
@citymama9 Hang in there and stay positive!
@gardenstategal What are “reaction options”? LOL and thank you so much. It’s fine, and D will find the right school.
@pc1990 and @bettzke1 Thank you both so much. It’s really fine. D is disappointed, but not devastated. I’m just thrilled to have a response. The waiting was so stressful. We still have lots of schools to hear from so wish her luck. In the meantime, I wish your children all the best:)
@TwinMom2023 It is the ID they give you when you apply and the link now works (it didn’t earlier when we first tried after getting the acceptance letter this afternoon). It takes you to a payment page.
Ugh, we have a photo of mail that was supposed to arrive from the University of Richmond that was never delivered. What does the rejection envelope look like versus acceptance? I can only see the front. The payment page does not work for us.
Oops, my son applied EA and I see this is ED lol. I guess those decisions aren’t out yet. Tried to delete my previous post, but CC won’t let me.
@citymama9 , agree, like, helpful, … we need darn it, hug!
I am sure the outcome will be great in the end. Especially given how your D has continued to evolve in her thinking about what she wants, the options she’ll get by going a few months longer may turn out to be a blessing.
