Richmond or SMU

I've been accepted to both. At SMU I'm in the BBA scholars program with quite a bit in scholarship, so I'd be a business major and potential double major in poli sci. At Richmond I'm just regularly in, but I'm interested in the Jepson School for leadership studies and the robbins school. What should I do?

I would look at the costs and try to do a list of pros and cons to help you decide. Have you visited both campuses? SMU has a really nice campus-never been to Richmond.

My older brother is graduating from Richmond. It is a beautiful campus, no question about it. Anyway, I think at Richmond, you have to make the most of your time there. My older brother didn’t do that great in his classes, partied a lot, and almost got in a huge amount of trouble with the school. Thus, he still does not have a job and he is graduating in about three weeks.Granted, not every student is a party person, but I think Greek life has a significant influence at Richmond. I’m sure if my bro worked/studied hard he would have a job and would be very successful. The same thing can be applied to any college. Either way, it’s up to you to make the most of your time at college.

my bro is in the robbins school btw. and it is a well-known school, but like I said, if you party a lot, you won’t get anything out of it.

What would the cost difference be?

If cost was even I’d pick Richmond, unless I wanted to work in Texas (or nearby states) than I’d pick SMU
