Same here. Interview more than 2 weeks ago, told there’d be communication by mid-March, and then seeing people here and on Twitter talking about their Oldham and Boatwright Scholarships.
Meanwhile, silence from Richmond. If the scholarships all went to other people, oh well, that’s how it goes. But at least go ahead and share the news. Feeling ignored and left wondering (though pretty much knowing the reality based on social media) is worse than just finding out.
@baltimoreguy Have you checked your email, especially the spam folder? If you were a finalist, you should have heard one way or the other by now. I’d call admissions if you haven’t heard (after checking your email).
I was a finalist and have not received any notification. I called admissions a couple of days ago and they said we should all hear by the end of next week.
@guineagirl96 Do you know anyone awaiting college decisions who isn’t checking their email constantly? You know, nothing obsessive, just 300 or 400 times a day.
Again, I understand not every finalist can be selected. But it’s not the non-selection I’m taking issue with, it’s the way the non-selection has been non-communicated.
Any Scholar Finalists (who haven’t been notified about the scholarship last week) hear anything?
@an1620 Hey, I was an artist scholar as well. I got my notification that I’ve been awarded the scholarship first by phone, then through email. We were on campus Tues-Thur, and I got the phone call on Sunday. I’m not international though, so I’m not sure when you guys should be notified of your status; I imagine they should notify you one way or another regardless of whether or not you received the scholarship. In my acceptance letter package that I got earlier this week in the mail, they also included a paper that said something about congratulations on being accepted as a Richmond Artist Scholar of some sort as well. I hope everything works out for you and it was great meeting you at our UR visit!
