I joined this forum a little less than a year ago. I came to find someone who could help with my questions, and it has served its purpose. I enjoy reading about other people's triumphs, and I even cry about those who did not transfer successfully. I have quietly observed and rarely post compared to some of you guys.

However, what I am concerned about is since when is this forum about talking maliciously about others? This is a forum about transferring. We should talk about our successes and failures. We should talk about our insecurities and excitement about transferring. However, I think it so inappropriate that lately this forum has shifted focus on talking about others whether good or bad. Even I am guilty of this. We need to refocus.

Please do not tell me this is just fun and games... if you want that go to the college life forum. I highly doubt that everyone sees this as fun and games. Not only that, but I do not think people should have to be banned for this when many of us are guilty the same thing.

We are all, hopefully, mature adults here... Lets act like it. By the way, I thank those of you who have not participated in the recent malicious threads. I am also sorry for doing so.

I'm just bothered by elitists on this board who speak in a verbose tone, thinking they're all that. cough cough Nspeds cough cough. Not only is this annoying, but he also seems to go out of his way to discourage others in their transfering goals. Its only reasonable that people have been lashing out against this.

i haven't started any malicious threads (although i was the main topic of one started by elizapontiac lol)...but i have been mean in the past. i'm not apologizing, but i will personally try my best to cut down and i hope others, who are even more negative than me learn to do the same by example.

I don't know, I think it just happens because people feel free to express their ideas and emotions on this board, and because people are so open about what they say, there are bound to be confrontations and differences of opinion which may not be pretty. Obviously there is a mature way to have a difference of opinion though...

The board didn't used to be this way. People got weird after all the UC decisions were out. Then came funnyguy.

Mature adults dont cry when their internet buddies face dissapointment...

Then came funnyguy

dude, did i do something wrong?

^nah man. You're one of the few 'real' people on here. I fear for many of these posters when they're thrust out into the real world. During the short time I've been visiting this board, it has been truly terrifying to see how some people compromise their entire being for the sake of school.

speak for yourself. funnnguy is anything but funny lol, hes obnoxious and is only here to mess around. I haven't seen him give one good piece of advice to anyone. Hes childish during arguments, and hes only here to discuss 'hot babes'....
