ridley college?

has anybody heard of this school?
also how are the academics? i know it's canadian, but i don't know if that makes anything really different than an american boarding school

My friend from Bermuda went to Ridley and loved it. I went to his graduation and it has a beautiful campus. It's co-ed day and boarding. It also has a lower school for day students. When I was there all of the students were really nice. It has a diverse international student base in the boarding houses.

Also Ridley is recognized as having one of the best rowing programs in North America. The ice hockey program is usually very strong but the rink is a bit old. I really loved the school when I visited!

Also, my friend said that the academics were excellent at Ridley. He went on to McGill in Montreal and majored in Marine Biology. It's well worth a visit!

do you know what kind of people are there? like are they all kids whose entire family has gone there, or is it pretty diverse?

My best friend is going there in the fall. A lot of people from Trinidad and Tobago are applying because Ridley is trying to widen its international base. The only problem is that it isnt exactly considered "elite" due to the high admissions rate caused by Canada's attempts to raise its younger population.

i really need lots of financial aid and scholarships- i don't know what people on here know about that though

because of my friend's diversity and application, he was offered $12k canadian without even having 2 take ssats

hmm ridley
i know a few people who have gone there since i live just out of toronto.
umm so i don't think the academics are stellar, but they're not bad either. their athletics are realllyy strong, probably some of the best in canada.

another thing about ridley is that it's not very exclusive or elite if that's the type of scene you're looking for. honestly, a bunch of people who have been kicked out of the other private/boarding schools in toronto end up at ridley.
