Right Essay Topic????

Describe a setback that you have faced. How did you resolve it? How did the outcome affect you? If something similar happened in the future, how would you react?

I wrote about failing an audition and how I made the band the year after. Does that count as a setback?

since I’ve been in that kind of position, it could be more of a setback if you described maybe how you didn’t make that band, and what led you to improve whatever condition that acted as a roadblock. be specific!

Hmmm, is 615 words way over the “approximately 500 words” suggestion?

hm…I got in, and I can tell you my essays were 375 words, 300 words, and 650 words each, for the 250, 250, and 500 essays, respectively. I guess it’s not impossible if you’re a little bit over. I would keep it that long and make sure the essay is clear and complete before chopping pieces off to make it fit the word limit.

Congratulations!
For the family info section, is native language, veteran info, and the paragraph about your contributions to your family required?
I left those blank and the application inspector did not list them as missing

I know the veteran info and contribution to family is not required, but I put a native language because…well, I have a native language :stuck_out_tongue:
The veteran info is just a yes no question right?
