Right time to take SAT II's?

I'm currently a sophomore.
When should I take...
the Math IIC? (I'm taking precalc this year and AP calc bc next year) and
the English/Lit or whatever it's called? (AP English as junior)
Also, any suggestions on whether I should take the World History or the US History one?
And...usually, for Ivy leagues or competitive colleges, which SAT II's do they require?

Thanks for your help and any pointers/advice about SAT II's??

i can tell u about math iic, take it in june or may near the end of ur precalc test. I recommend barron's or kaplan to help with that if u need it.

If you're taking U.S. History or Wld history now, take it in June or May. Or if you suck at one of them even though you're taking the class for it, take the other. Like, me. I suck at U.S. history even though I'm taking the AP class for it this year, and I took regular world history last year and I just aced everything, so I'm taking world history, most likely.

If you're in pre-calculus right now, the end of this year is the best time to take the IIC. Depending on your other testing comittments (SAT's, AP's), either May or June of this year should be good.

Most top schools require three SAT II's from three different subject areas. The Writing test is no longer offered, so you should take a math test plus two others. If you want to be a science or engineering major, you'll need to take a science test (I think Princeton requires Chemistry or Physics). Your third test can be in any other area (foreign language, history, literature etc). Basically you should take the test in whatever area you feel you are the strongest. The best time to take the test is after you take a class in that area, so English Lit probably won't be a good idea right now, cause Junior AP English is normally AP English Language.

Take Math IIC at the end of this year. I did that last year and I got an 800. Most pre-calc classes will prepare you well.
