Rigor of senior year schedule?

How much do the rigor of the courses during senior year matter towards admissions?

I was planning on taking
AP Calculus AB
AP Calculus BC
Physiology
AP Biology
Avid Tutor
English 4-critical reading/writing

And I can't decide on regular or AP Economics, not sure how hard it is :/

And I'd be playing sports probably year round. Does this seem rigorous enough? Or should I add that AP Econ?

AP Economics is NOT a difficult class, especially as far as AP classes go. For someone who seems to be a math/logic/science person like yourself (forgive the characterization based off your courses), it should be a class that spruces up your courseload without adding too much in the way of material difficulty. That being said, your courseload does look very rigorous now.

I don’t see the point of taking Calculus AB and BC concurrently. Why not take just BC?

Taking Calc AB and BC seems redundant to me, unless your school offers only the BC portions in the BC class.

I think that your schedule is pretty tough as is but from what I have heard AP macro/micro tests are not that challenging. It depends if you want to apply to say Princeton or an in state public school. Talk with your parents and think of what is best for you. Best of Luck!

Where are you applying?

I don’t want to steal this thread but I have a quick question:
How much is the rigor of senior year considered as opposed to rigor in prior years? I feel that next year (my senior year) will most reflect who I am academically because I will be taking the hardest classes, but in previous years I was in mostly regular classes.

Taking AB and BC at the same time is completely non-sensical.
Don’t do that.
I can’t stress enough that you should NOT do that.

Guys I can only take BC if I take AB, it’s a requirement at my school. And we are on a 4x4 schedule, so I would be taking AP calculus AB the first term, then BC the next so I wouldnt have them at the same time.

I am planning on applying to mainly in state schools:
San Diego state
Cal Poly
UC Santa Barbara
Maybe cal state long beach.

A couple of reach schools:
UCLA
USC

And a couple of out of states:
UMiami (Early Action)
Arizona State
Maybe UOregon
And possibly Florida State
