I've been taking 5 PreAICE or AICE classes since Freshman year, but this year I didn't have room for taking the two science classes I wanted and I really don't want to take physics...
I've decided to TA for the orchestra class to have a kind of study period and music practice period on days then the teacher doesn't need me to do things. I've heard from people that TA-ing looks horrible on your transcript to colleges (and I can understand why).

How heavily do colleges rely on the rigor of your senior schedule in applications?
Am I going to be rejected everywhere I apply because I didn't take an extra class? =

Well I am going through the application process right now and at all the schools I’ve seen academic rigor through senior year is number one most important. Now just because you didn’t take all of the hardest courses, I can guarentee you that you won’t get rejected from everywhere. I have friends who literally go into school twice a week because they are only taking like two classes and some of them have already been accepted into college. However if you’re applying to fairly competitive schools, you might want to see if it’s not too late to transfer into some more rigorous classes. Good luck!

So you would recommend that if I’m applying to more competitive schools, I should change to a more rigorous class?
