Rigorous Courses

As a sophomore you're running for school president ( or so you said)? Yeah...a junior is definitely gonna win. That's just how it goes in high school.

No, it really depends on who it is. People don't pick people for how old they are. They do it if they're friends or they know you over someone who's alien. I know people in my school system who ran for president the sophmore year for their junior year.

you will soon learn

I was at my high school for 3 periods last year. I know what high school is like but I'm afraid of stress.

You should be afraid of stress. You'll be the one stressing yourself out.

I don't procrastinate though. Have you ever seen a 9th grader take an AP course? I don't think it's possible unless you took a foreign language at the 4 honors or 5 honors level.

Yeah people on this site have taken AP classes freshman year actually.

I wish I could ,but I the AP Course has requirements I have to take during freshman year.

you think that its cool to say you have "3 sophomore level" classes. well it really isn't, i had 2 sophomore level classes, and 1 junior level class last year as a freshman, and i didn't go around bragging to everyone. stuff like that will make people dislike you greatly and you won't become president

I never thought it was cool. Read the title of the Thread. Think before you type. It says Rigorous Courses. Isn't what i'm taking rigorous?

What was your Freshman schedule?

What you are taking is definately rigorous. Just know that things don't work the way you are thinking. Everyone plans all sorts of things when they enter high school, but things in life don't always happen the way we plan them. It's great that you apsire to be valedictorian and school president, but don't think you're a sure shot for them.

My freshman schedule...rigorous for my school, but not a big deal:
Honors Biology
Honors Algebra 2
Honors English 9
World History
Spanish 2
Gym
Band

Do you plan to "hang-out with people" just to become a class president? That is completely sick. Poor kids.

Oh, and this is my schedule:

1st semester:
ESL -- there was some mistake in transition from middle school, caused me to spend semester in this crap.
Phys. Cond
Honors Geometry
Honors Biology
2nd semester:
Commercial Art -- required occupational.
Honors Chemistry
World History -- still suffering from ESL
Advanced Algebra -- no honors class

But, see, I know there is a percentage of change and chance. If I do what I do, I will achieve what I have always achieved. Theorectically most students rather focus on school or sports than president. Many people are shy and are busy. Being president is time consuming but I have put my mind to it. Planning is the best way to achieve something. I prepared where as other people haven't even thought of the idea of their future.

No, I am not using them. We are already friends. Let me go back to a point; Why would you vote for someone alien to you when you can vote for a familiar friend.

HerO my schedule was really similar

Honors Biology
Honors Algebra 2
Honors English
World History
Honors French 2
Religion
Intro to Art
Computer Applications
Band [no grade]
PE [no grade]

Most schools don't have 1 or 2 honors unless it's Latin. I know my school doesn't except starting with Latin because you take AP Courses 3rd year.

Masterus, I mean, socializing is not something I would do for reaching goal. I, personally, am not a kind of person which would spend each second to reach some goal. I am just having fun while educating rigorously and not caring about future, because only God knows what shall happen in three years.

my schedule- "rigorous" enough for my school
honors world history
honors french 2
symphonic band
honors lit
algebra 1
conseptual physics

I beleive in Destiny and the ability to change your future. If I am already friends and know them why would need to socialize to reach my goal?

Masterus, you don't (or shouldn't) vote for someone just because they are your friend. You vote for someone based on their capacity to be a good leader.
