Ringling vs SVA help please!!!

Hi, my name is Kelly Kim and I'm currently a senior in high school.
I really need some advice on deciding which school to go to. I'm planning on majoring in Computer Animation. I know for CA Ringling is considered #1, but for Ringling, I got admitted into the school but I had to switch my major to something else from Computer Animation. So my declared major for Ringling is Game Art & Design because it's the most closely related field. The major seems interesting enough, but I've never really been a huge gamer. I don't know if the curriculum will be more focused towards actually making games or the art of the games itself. I know all the big shot companies come to Ringling and recruit students regularly, and they have good connections I heard. I know the gaming industry is booming right now but what if I end up not liking it? I can't change my major to CA in Ringling once I start off with a different major.

For SVA, I'm not really sure about their animation major, but I heard they have some really good connections. Since it's located in Manhattan, the heart of New York. I guess there will be a lot of stuff to do, and I'll get to know a lot of great artists. But do they have a decent animation program? Also I heard that they have really crappy dorms, whereas Ringling has really nice dorms.

Any advice will be appreciated. Thank you for any help!

I am also considering these two schools for the fall. I will be majoring in photography so I can’t really help you as far as animation goes, but I do hear of more people choosing Ringling over SVA for animation related fields/majors. Have you received financial aid from either of the schools? Are you considering other schools? Are you ok with SVA being a for-profit institution?
