RISD/ Brown dual degree 2021

Hey guys! Anyone got into the dual degree program?
I’m accepted to both Brown and RISD separately, but I don’t see a letter referring the decision on the dual degree program.
Does this mean I’m rejected? Or the committee will release the result later? It will be extremely disappointing if I got into both institutions but not the dual degree cuz I feel like I’m soooooo close to it! …><

Congratulations on your acceptances! If you’ve been accepted to the dual program your Brown letter should have a second paragraph saying so (unless they’ve since changed). If not, keep an eye out for a snail mail package containing a dual degree acceptance folder. Unfortunately it is possible to get accepted into both schools and not the program.

Congratulations to you @BRDDstudent ! Unfortunately I’m not accepted to the dual degree program…now I have to debate between the two institutions ><. Argggg so close!!!

I know Brown students and RISD students can all register classes in the other institution. Do you know if the two schools share student organizations? Now I’m leaning towards RISD as I’m more of an art student, but Brown has lots of great clubs student organizations that I would like to attend!

@melody99 RISD students can participate in Brown student organizations with very few exceptions and vice versa. It is also much easier to take Brown classes as a RISD student than the other way around.

Thank you @BRDDstudent ! I’m feeling much better now, and looking forward to life in Providence this September! Best wishes to you in your dual degree program!

Hello. Just thought I’d let you know my daughter just graduated from this amazing program. I hope you do as well. Mostly I wanted to tell you she received both acceptances from Brown and RISD separately one week, then the following week a snail mail letter telling her she was accepted into the program.
