RISD Home Test?

Hey all, I'm pretty new to College Confidential so any apologies if I posted in the wrong forum. Anyway I was wondering if I could get any advice from any fellow senior RISD applicants or RISD current students.

I know the deadline for the drawing home tests was somewhere near the last week of February, but I couldn't get them done on time due to personal reasons. I've finished them today and plan to mail them out tomorrow. Thing is, they send out decisions on March 15. I've decided to do the drawings because I read somewhere online that one alumni didn't even send in the tests and got accepted. I thought it couldn't hurt to still try. I'm not depending on that chance happening to me, but does anyone know how strict they are with the deadlines? Is it even worth sending on my drawings to them? Thanks for any input.

Since RISD is rated as the number one art school in the nation, I do not think that it’s advisable to still send your drawings at all. They cut slack for me when I sent in my CSS Profile late last week without realizing it was a requirement, but all that it does is lower my chances of getting scholarship money from the institution itself. Sending in application material like that very late is a waste.

@leloar Yeah you were right! I wish someone posted earlier :stuck_out_tongue:
They emailed me saying they received it but it was too late, and they offered to send it back. They were pretty nice about it. I was upset but got over if because even if I got in, I wouldn’t have gone hhaha. Thanks.
