RISD if unsure??

As of right now, I would like to major in Architecture in college. I have been accepted to RISD, CMU, Pratt, Syracuse, and a few others. I have a strong interest in architecture, but I have always had an interest for animation as well.
I figure at RISD i could spend the first year foundation deciding if im sure about architecture or whether i want to do animation. And if i want to still do architecture, i wont lose a year ,will have taken animation courses, and still be in a great architecture program.

Does this sound like an alright thing to do, or am I losing opportunities by turning down some of my other choices? And are there other things to do if im not sure?

I know this might have been something i should have decided before going to college, but i didn't want to commit fully to architecture before taking college level animation courses, something i have missed out on, to see if maybe i wanted that more.
