Absolutely don’t retake your Bio Subject test, what you have is very good and you have plenty of time to take more.

I would recommend the Math 2 rather than Chem Subject test this spring. After precalc is the best time to take the Math 2 (go to the CB website and see what types of material is covered). And unless you’re going to do quite a bit of self-study, you should wait until after AP Chem for the Chem Subject test.

The PSAT should give you a very good idea of where you stand. Plan on a SAT test date relatively early, maybe Jan, so that you can retake in the spring if necessary.

Course rigor looks very good as does the breadth of coursework.

You might want to apply to some of the selective summer programs for the summer after jr year (eg. TASP).

The biggest weakness I see right now are your ECs. I’m seeing a broad range of interests, but no particular focus. It’s not really a criticism, but I think it helps to be able to present a picture of yourself on your application and often having several activities and academic experiences that support a subject area or goal is helpful.

No need to bump more than once a day ;).

Thanks entomom, I wanted to paint a picture using using debate and model un, showing im interested in international affairs because that is what I want to minor/get a certificate in. I want to major in biology/ neuroscience and I hope that the hospital volunteering can show that medicine is an interest of mine too.

PS

I forgot to mention that I play rec league basketball yearlong. I’ve been playing since 3rd grade and I plan to volunteer coach next fall and then throughout the rest of highschool

Keep working hard. You are on the right track. Follow your passions re ECs. Write wonderful, compelling and revealing essays. Best of luck. Throw in a safety.

dude why are you even asking, your stats are amazing, but you exam you do not have many, i defitnetly think you have the ability to take more exams

^Very true. The most selective colleges could fill their fr classes a couple of times just based on stats. Once you hit the threshold of showing that you can be academically successful, they will be looking for other qualities that set you apart and show that you will bring something unique to the school.

Do you know what percentile your GPA falls in your school profile? For example, at our high school, 4.56 is the highest GPA, the top 1% is 4.40. Eventhough our high school does not rank, most colleges have an idea where a student ranks base on school profile.

lets just say that at my school, people barely get into local colleges ( ie George Mason University and James Madison University).

2 years ago, we sent 1 kid to Princeton (waitlist)
last year, we sent 1 kid to Harvard (supagenius/wellrounded)
This year, we have 1 kid to penn ED (President of everything/supasmart)

Do you know yet how your parents expect you to pay for your education? Your grades and test scores are really good. If they stay up you will qualify for significant merit-based aid at some colleges and universities (read up on that in the Financial Aid Forum) which means that you could have lots of good options for your safeties.

if i get into like a harvard or a princeton, my parents promised they would do anything to pay for the education. Except for those super good schools, they expect me to get scholarships to get the price down to like state school price or go to my state school

Find your school profile and figure where you stand with the rest of your class. If you are in top 10%, you have a good shot. Without that information, it’s hard to tell.

even w/o the school profile, i can guarantee that I’m in the to 10% easily. I did find that the avg. SAT score in my school is 1780/2400, if that is any help.
