*How can I improve? Please give advice and I'll chance back

Oh no! That 220 on the sat will kill you! Just kidding, but you have an excellent profile especially for someone at the same position as me (go rising juniors!). One improvement I would suggest is to get involved in more academic competitions to get some recognition to help you stand out. Best of luck my man!

Is your GPA Weighted or UW? Its confusing that you are ranked 15-20% with a 4.0 unless its Weighted or your school really inflates

Hi - your SAT scores are not bad, but honestly could be a bit higher for Ivies. Consider retaking (esp getting the CR score a little higher). SAT scores are not that good for World History. Can you get your class rank higher? Ivies typically like to see at least top 10%

Your ECs seem fairly standard, but don’t really show any consistent pattern. What is your intended major? Is it anything related to Music? If not then why are you highlighting your Orchestra experience.

The most interesting thing about your background is the fact that you worked at your Parent’s subway. Are your parents immigrants? If so use this to your advantage. Son of an immigrant who worked his way through highschool while making Subway sandwiches. Are you first generation college? If so highlight.

Other areas for improvement:
- Make a clearer link for the AdCom between your intended major and your ECs
- Leadership - don’t see much of any leadership positions in your ECs
- How can your class rank be 15-20% but still have a 4.0? Are your grades weak?

@Lacoste my school considers it “unweighted” even though it is weighted. We have a separate “weighted” GPA

@metsfan9 so that means that your grades have always been 93+?

@Lacoste Not sure but the colleges see 4.0

bumpily bump bump, bump bump
