Rising Junior; Please help me with scheduling!

Hi, I am a 10th grader, who is an ESL (English as a Second Language) student.
I am interested in Computer Science major.

As a sophomore, I am currently taking:

Pre-Calculus Honors
Chemistry Honors
English Regular
World History Regular
Spanish I Regular
Theology

*Last semester, I got all solid As except English (B+)...

When I was scheduling my sophomore year courses, I really wanted to take AP Euro, but my counselor strongly suggested me to take regular history since I am an ESL student. (I got an A on history in freshmen year)
But now I am regretting on not taking AP Euro before I even try..

My plan for junior year is:

AP Computer Science A (online course; my school doesn't offer)
AP Calculus BC
AP Physics C
Spanish II Honors
English Regular
US History Regular
Theology

*my school only allows 3 APs and 2 Honors for junior

Do you think this schedule is good enough for a student who is strongly interested in engineering field??
I feel like taking heavy math/science classes and regular English/history classes are unbalanced.
Should I give up either AP CS or AP Physics, and take APUSH??
But I am not sure if I can get a good grade on APUSH.

**my school is weak on math/science, and very strong on English/history. (but regular history classes are very easy)

HELP ME PLEASE

Looks good. Don’t take apush! There’s so much reading and writing in that class

haha I should’ve listened to your advise. I am having a really hard time w/ apush. Especially I was sick for few months, so my grade dropped a lot.

Physics C and Calc BC is good.

This is from last year… I chose to take apush instead of ap physics c (I can only choose 3 APs as a junior), and I am regretting right now :frowning: If you have some time, can you look at my recent post for senior year schedule? Thank you

Actually, you made the right decision - as long as you took Honors Physics this year. It’s not possible to take Physics C before you have had a Physics class and it’s better to take Physics C after you’ve had Calculus (in schools that have the AB-BC sequence, students would take AB junior year and BC + Phys C senior year, for instance.)

@MYOS1634‌ My school doesn’t offer Honors Physics :frowning: The reason why I am regretting is I am sure that I will get an A if I choose to take AP Physics C. AP Physics teacher curves every test, so I heard that most of students get As. However, he’s not coming back next year, I don’t know how next year will go… Also, I was really really sick for few months in my first semester of junior year, so it affected my grades a lot – especially APUSH, which I got a B…:frowning: I also got an A- in Calc BC, which was really shocking to me. But I am sure if I chose to take AP Physics instead of APUSH, I would get much better grade even though I was sick… For this semester, if I stay healthy, I know I will get at least B+ in APUSH (maybe A-) & definitely A in Calc, but my sem 1 grade is a disaster already, so I don’t how it would be better if I get a little better grade in sem 2…

Your semester grades are fine. Keep up the good work. A B in APUSH for an ESL student is nothing to sneeze at and shows you can challenge yourself, plus if you get a B+ second semester that shows an upward trend (add this to your bragsheet).
