How did you narrow down your decision for your EA school? I'm stuck. :(

Well, I decided to EA to a school that has a short application and that I probably wouldn’t attend even if accepted. My parents’ AGI decreased by about $30K between 2010 and 2011 so it’d be pretty annoying to have to resubmit financial aid documents if accepted EA (and who knows if the FA office is gonna audit or something). So I chose Harvard (over Stanford, Princeton, and Caltech).

Well, in my case it worked out that my financial safety (UConn) and one of my top choices (U. of Chicago) both offered non-restrictive EA. Even if I’d had to choose just one EA school, I can’t imagine it would be too difficult a decision. It’s non-binding, so there’s not too much at stake.

I’ll EA at my financial safety (also UConn). I’ve sort’ve ruled out ED because I like a few schools too much, so the final decision will most likely be financial. I probably will SCEA at Yale so I can hopefully get that out of the way. The odds of getting in are low, but if I did, I’d probably have my best possible financial aid offer in hand.
