Boston School: Check out Brandeis, for a great and valued education. Also I hear BC is nice.

State: Minnesota
Major: Finance

1)Notre Dame - All time dream school, but unlikely I’ll get in
2)Michigan - Probably get in, but no way I can afford OOS
3)BC - 50/50 Chance. Would need a lot of financial aid.
4)Minnesota - Most likely. Go Gophers!
5)Wisconsin - Can’t stand the Badgers, and don’t like the campus but will apply cause it’s a good school with good prestige so I might as well. Get instate tuition cause of reciprocity.

i wonder if anybodys lists will change with the new rankings haha… prestige whores …

Undecided from Arizona

In order:
Stanford (SCEA)
Princeton
Duke
Brown
Rice (applying for sports management)
Amherst
BC/Notre Dame
Pomona
Harvard
Claremont McKenna
BU

Why would you apply to Rice for SM?

^Because I like Rice and am interested in SM. The other schools on my list (as far as I know) do not offer it for undergrads, so I would have to wait til grad school to look into that.

I mean, their SM program is fine, but it’s not exactly close to the best.

I’m not sure that’s what I want to do. Rice makes you choose a major on the application, so that’s what I’m putting for them. I’m going undecided everywhere else because the other schools are more geared to the type of school I’m looking for rather than just SM.

Prospective Major: Education (K-8), Mathematics Journalism Minor
- Wesley College
- Temple University
- UCLA
- Stanford
- Mount Holyoke
- Binghampton

HomeState: NEW YORK

As Of Now:

UNC-Chapel Hill (Main)
University of Miami
Morehouse College
NC State
Howard University
UNC-Greensboro
UNC-Wilmington

Lauraj100 - Stanford and Wesley? Do you mean Wellesley? Wesley College (DE) is far, far below the academic level of anyone competitive for Stanford, or Mt. Holyoke for that matter.

Only applying to 5:

Harvard
UPenn/Wharton
Princeton

Berkeley
UCLA

Prospective Major: Most likely Political Science, but possibly Religous Studies or Philosophy.
Upstate/Western NY

I’ve had trouble keeping a steady list, but aslong as this isn’t too many, I’m happy with it:

Bates College - ED
Trinity College
Connecticut College
Skidmore College
Knox College
Beloit College
Earlham College
Allegheny College
Lake Forest College
Warren Wilson College
SUNY Binghamton
SUNY New Paltz

i think im going to apply to 10… what about everyone else?

She means Wesley in DE. I’ve tried to convince her that Temple is a significantly better school, but she clearly still does not understand that.

Stanford, MHC and UCLA are all reaches for her–she’s just throwing those apps out for the hell of it.

^ Take it from a Delawarean–Wesley College isn’t much of a school. I suppose if Temple were a match, it’d be an okay safety. But if Temple is a match, you shouldn’t waste your money on Stanford’s app.

I think she’s a val (albeit not a CC 4.5 35 ACT/2360 SAT president of everything val) who needs aid, in which case, Temple is a good choice if she can get a full ride.

I’m amazed you want to do economics and you’re not applying to Chicago. Chicago has the best economics department in arguably the world.

From PA Major: Neuroscience(or if its not offered Psych/Chem double)

College List:
Tulane(SCEA)
U Alabama(rolling)
Union College(NY)
Smith(first choice)
Scripps
Pitzer

Yeah…i’m not even attempting ivy admissions…that’s too crazy

pnb2002: you really have something against Chicago. wow.

stop harassing people who are choosing to apply to chicago. if you’re interested in economics, then apply to chicago for crying out loud.
