Diontechristmas and Keilexandra::: Temple was my first choice for a V E R Y long time. You are correct Diontechristmas, the only two schools on my list that 1. I really wanna go to and 2. that are attainable for me (money wise, has the programs I am looking for…etc) are both Temple University and Wesley College (DE). What really made me change my mind was my campus visit to both schools. Although I am such a CITY girl, coming from the Bronx, NY…I wanted to change for my college experience. Wesley offers that. Keilexandra…you are correct about how Wesley is below the other schools academically, however I honestly believe that every school starts off at the bottom, and must work themselves up. I want to help Wesley with that and I do believe I will receive a quality, affordable, and rewarding education there. Sorry for the long post…and Diontechristmas…I CAN ALWAYS TRANSFER IF I MADE THE WRONG DECISION ")

I am incredibly picky. A school has to be just right for me to apply. I want an urban, medium to large sized school with strong academics, NO frat atmosphere, preferably not particularly pre-professional (but this isn’t as important as other criteria), good weather (again, not nearly as important as urban/strong academically/no frat), amazingly good financial aid, and no core curriculum.

Because of that, I’m also considering Tufts (highish match), Emory (highish match), and Harvard (reach). Tufts seems underwhelming and cold, Emory feels generic and too suburban, and Harvard is a reach that I’m not excited about enough to add. So you can seem my conundrum. I’ve decided that just six schools seems too risky in terms of financial aid.

P.S. - my “highish match” schools are really just solid matches with low acceptance rates.

My list is always changing but right now I think I have a solid list.

Bloomfield College
Kean University
Long Island University
Regis College
Mount Ida College

My GPA isn’t that great because I go to a college prep school (one of the best in the country) and the math courses are really rigorous and I haven’t done that well in them. But, I plan to major in education so if you guys know any colleges that are easy to get into and have education as a major, let me know. Thanks!

^^ I wouldn’t go that far. If she honestly likes and “fits” with the school, she’ll make the best of her 4 years there, regardless of academic quality.

At this point, I dont really care what she does. I’m trying to help her, but I’m not doing anything else. If she truly thinks it’s the best fit for her, then fine. Not my life…
