RISING SENIORS! where are YOU applying?

As the topic states! How are those finalized (or not-so-finalized) college lists coming? I think I've pretty much got mine down, with the exception of deciding whether or not to apply early decision...

Wesleyan University (ED I/II hopeful)
Tufts University
Brandeis University
Boston College (EA)
Trinity College / or Conn College
University of Rochester
Union College
Boston University
UConn
UMass - Amherst

So about 4 reaches, 3 low reach/high matches, and 3 safties (list respective). 10 schools, going to make a huuuge dent in the wallet, yes.

What about you guys? ;)

community college.

Smith College
St. Olaf College EA
Dickinson College EA
Middlebury College
Georgetown University
Wellesley College
UC Berkeley
UC San Diego
UC Santa Barbara

So...4 reaches, 3 matches, 2 safeties. Luckily, my top choice (Smith) isn't too far out of my reach. The huge dent in my wallet due to app fees will be nothing compared to actually paying for schools...gah. No ED for me because I need to compare aid offers.

UCSD - safety
UCLA - match
UCB - match
Harvard - reach
Stanford - reach

Maybe a few of these:
Duke
Yale
Princeton
UPenn

all depends on what i want to do in life - which i haven't decided on yet.

SCEA stanford maybe.

November:
UIUC - Reach
UW-Seattle - Reach
PSU - Match

January:
UMD - Reach
Binghamton - Match
Stonybrook - Safety
University of Rochester - Reach
Syracuse - Match

Regular Admission:
American - match
Temple - safety
West Virginia - safety
Pitt - match

Rolling: (October or November)
Penn State - match
Point Park - safety

Reaches:
Duke
UNC-Chapel Hill
UVA

Matches:
Wake Forest
University of Richmond

Safeties:
TCNJ
Maryland
UNC-Wilmington

No EDs because of the whole aid situation. I hope to get lots of money from my safeties because I'll probably end up attending one of them

|//| |//| |//| |//| |//|//|//|//|
|//| |//| |//| |..| |//|
|//| |//| |//| |..| |//|
|//|......|//| |..| |//|

Reaches:

Northwestern
USC

(I might get money)

Matches:

Syracuse

(I'll get money)

Safeties:

Maryland

(I'll get /lots/ of money)

I should apply to other schools, shouldn't I? Oh well...

woah, little killer you said Maryland in January. That is a big no-no. If you apply to UMD apply before December 1st. That is just a priority deadline. It isn't EA or ED, its just priority. They take 90% of their admits from those who apply before that deadline which this year was December 1st but that should change by more than a couple days if at all this year

Safties: University of Illinois, Champaigne-Urbana
Loyola University (Chicago)

Matches: Oberlin College
Colgate University
Carnegie Mellon University
Washington University in St. Louis (yes, it's a match for me)

High match/Low Reach: Northwestern University

Reaches: Amherst Collge
Brown University
Dartmouth College

No early action/decision for me; I'm not sure which one's I want to go to yet (and I want colleges to get my 1st semster senior transcript too). I've seen all but two of them, and like them all (I have some favorites though) but I'm not sure which is the RIGHT one yet.

isn't it the other way around?

Wellesley - ED
SUNY Geneseo
Sarah Lawrence
NYU
Scripps
Occidental
Fordham
William and Mary
Pitzer

harvard early action

if not admitted, then mit, stanford, brown, caltech, and case western reserve univ.
