RISING SENIORS! where are YOU applying?

My not at all finalized college list

UVA
UNC-Chapel Hill
W+M
Cornell
Wake forest
Duke
Umass Amherst (Safety)

Definitely gonna add more safeties and matches

University of Texas at Austin (Safety)
Tufts University
Columbia?

I've already posted this on another thread asking where rising senior will apply, but I guess I might as well post it up again, because my list is officially finalized.

Rice
USC
Brown
Northwestern
WUSTL
Emory
Univ. of Houston (top ten percent rule, automatic acceptance w/ application)

Harvard (my parents want me to apply, but I'm not really sure about it)
Penn ED (my dream school, reach)
NYU (reach)
Univ of Michigan-Ann Arbor (match, but I'm out-of-state)
Penn State (safety)
Univ. of Puerto Rico (in-state, and only if everyone else denies me)

Not sure:
Washington University in St. Louis
Carnegie Mellon
Georgetown

brown
CMU (CSC)
rice
stanford
tufts
u rochester
ut austin (maybe)
yale (SCEA?)

Not really done very well.

Stanford (reach)
Columbia (reach)
Amherst (reach)
Cornell (slight reach to reach)
UCB (match)
UCLA (match)
UCSD (safety)

After that, the list gets fuzzy. Anything from Claremont McKenna (match) to Carnegie Mellon (safe match).

Most likely Northwestern ED.

If that doesn't work out..

Georgetown (reach)
Princeton (reach)
NYU (match)
American (match)
UIUC (safety)
UW - Madison (safety)

The only college I'm sure I'll be applying to is UNC-Chapel Hill (match), early action.

The jury is still out on:
Davidson (reach)
NYU (match)
Elon (match)
N.C. State (match/safety)
App. State (safety)
UNCC (safety)

I've kind of found myself intrigued by Cornell College (read: NOT Cornell University) too, but I don't know if I'm serious enough to even put it on the "maybe" list.

Safeties
Concordia University
Randolph-Macon Woman’s College

Matches
Sarah Lawrence College
Sweet Briar College

Reaches
American University
Lewis & Clark College
McGill University

My top choices are McGill, Sarah Lawrence, and American.

Duke
Davidson
UVA
Wake Forest
TCNJ
Maryland
Goucher

Still constantly evolving. I think I'm gonna have to cut myself off at some point and just end it. Wake is my only real match, though, the three above are reaches and the three below are safties

My list as of now...

I'm most likely going to apply to Duke ED... maybe Princeton.

Also since Michigan & Stonybrook are Rolling, I'll make sure to apply to both early too.

Here's the whole list.

Duke
Princeton
MIT
Caltech
Harvard
Columbia
Dartmouth

Johns Hopkins
U of Chicago
Cornell
Carnegie Mellon
U of Michigan

SUNY Stonybrook

7 Reaches, 5 Matches, 1 Safety

university of IL urbana
unc charlotte
unc wilmington
university south florida

Reaches-
MIT (EA)
Harvard
Princeton
Stanford

Matches-
Caltech (EA)
Carnegie Mellon (SCS)
Olin
UC Berkeley

Safety-
RPI
Harvey Mudd

In order of preference (somewhat)-
MIT/Caltech
Stanford/Berkeley
CMU/Harvard/Princeton
Olin
Harvey Mudd
RPI

Princeton ED

If I don't get in, then:
Harvard
Yale
MIT
Caltech
Stanford
Columbia
Cornell
UC Berckley

and then, my matches and safeties

Michigan
UIUC
UCSD
Virginia tech
Wisconsin
Arizona
Arizona state

Reaches:

Brown
Dartmouth
MIT
Williams

Matches:

BC
Cornell
Tufts
Amherst

Safeties:

FIU
UF
Northeastern

my list still needs some refining and some of the schools will prolly move up or down as to if they are reaches, safeties, or matches but those are the schools that most interest me so far =P

Umm why is Williams a reach, but Amherst a match? Amherst has a lower acceptance rate. Also I don;t know your stats but for most people Cornell and Tufts are reaches ( if you dont show a ton of interest for Tufts, you'll pretty much be waitlisted/rejected)

UIUC, Northwestern, and WashU. The end, because parents are stupid.
