Risk of being rescinded?

My second semester grades are most likely going to end up like this:

AP English Lit: B+
AP Spanish: A
AP Statistics: B+
Advanced Physics: A
Chemistry: C+
AP Government: A

How am I doing? Also, other than getting my grades up (of course), what else can I do to help my case?

All of your grades other than Chemistry are fine, and I just can’t imagine that one C+ is going to result in the Draconian measure of a rescission. I don’t think there’s any “case” to help. Just do your best and I suspect it will be a non-issue.

They won’t see second semester, only full year and nobody is going to go back to the midyear report and back into what your second semester was.

“They won’t see second semester, only full year and nobody is going to go back to the midyear report and back into what your second semester was.”

what? i’m not sure if i’m understanding you correctly.

The school will only send (right?) an end-of-year transcript, with only the end-of-year averages on it. There will be no reflection of a particularly bad quarter/trimester/semester, just the average for the year.

At least, that’s what my school does.

Depends on your school. My high school only listed semester grades on its transcripts, there were no “year averages.”

my school only sends semester grades; i’ve seen a transcript before.

the only guaranteed A i have is AP gov. advanced physics and spanish are likely to be A’s though, I just have to turn in late work.
AP statistics might be a B.
AP chemistry …yeah… :(

I honestly really doubt your offer will be rescinded. I feel like they only rescind when something godawful happens, like you completely bomb a class or get arrested. But I could be way off base.

whoa my thread just came up on google haha
crazy

They’re not going to rescind admission for one C+. Really. Ridiculous question. Honestly, I knew someone whose kid got an F in second semester Calculus senior year… As an alum, I was shocked NU didn’t make an issue of it.

I realize you’re nervous, but I almost laughed out loud when I read this post. Relax. Go enjoy your summer.
