I am a junior and go to a tech school where i study computers i got an 1140 on the SAT and have a 3.0 GPA, i would really like to go to RIT, and would apply with their early action plan. i was just wondering, because i saw most scores were like a 1290 and GPAs were like 3.6, what chances i would have to get into RIT if any. Thank you
Well, your test scores and GPA are not the average scores they receive, however this does not mean you have no chance of being accepted. As long as you have great EC’s and essays, you will always have a chance. Keep up your school work and try to improve grades and test scores. You can take SAT/ACT multiple times, so try to up that.
Yea im planning on taking the SATs again, the only reason my GPA is so low, is because i bombed my freshman year, but my sophomore and junior GPAs were great, my EC’s are not the best, but aren’t the worst, I coached youth baseball and wrestling for 3 years and counting, yearbook club for 1 year, and loads of volunteer hours along with Many certifications, I have all MOS certifications (word, PowerPoint, excel, & access) and have my Networking Fundamentals MTA along with my Windows OS fundamentals MTA, im not sure if having certifications like that would help but if they would please let me know
