RIT or Vir Tech?

Guys, i got admission 2 both the above mentioned schools. I want to go into motorsports and hence doing mechanical engineering. In terms of Money RIT has offered 13000/year as compared to nothing by VT.Help me choose!

It looks like the net cost to you (assuming you are not a VA resident) will be similar though VT has extensive room & board options which can vary substantially and RIT is a pretty set deal for freshman. Not sure of the automotive options at VT, but RIT has the M.E. program with the auto. concentration and is also outstanding for the co-op opportunities which will be invaluable in your field when pursuing job opportunities. They will, however, provide vastly different overall college experiences not just geographically but also with respect to the social and athletic environments (if that is important to you) which will likely be far more diverse at VT (Division I sports, etc). So you need to know what you are looking for in the overall college experience and weigh that up against the opportunities the two programs will provide given the specific nature of your intended field of study.
But I’m curious about one thing…RIT, to the best of my knowledge, has not yet begun to notify RD candidates yet (March 15 is the listed date by which everyone will have been notified) and if you applied ED and were accepted than you are obligated to attend so what’s up with that?
