My S19 sent official scores and is still waiting. I seriously doubt there is any correlation between how scores are reported and when/if students are admitted.
Son still waiting for computer science RD. His official transcripts were submitted with his application.
I was accepted last week and haven’t sent official test scores yet.
Thanks, everyone!
Portal finally updated. Son in for computer science!
Son accepted into computer science. 95 unweighted average, 103 weighted. 1530 sats, NMF, 11 aps & 6 CL classes…
Some clubs & officer in 2. Also received to HS jr award for RIT. Anyone have any idea when merit goes out & financial aid. Would like to book flight but want to make sure it is in affordable range.
Accepted to mechanical engineering OOS with an email around 3:22 (I just checked). No info about merit but the acceptance letter says “accepted applicants who have been awarded merit scholarships from RIT will receive a separate notification letter”.
I had official test scores sent back in November for those wondering.
Son was accepted as MechE yesterday and only self-reported.
Anybody out there apply to CET? Son applied in Oct RD. Thought we would have heard something by now.
Merit letters go out a week after acceptance letter. Full financial aid letter about another 2 weeks or so.
Received email last night: accepted computer science program at RIT!
Can anyone provide info about upcoming accepted students days?
Question for anyone who already received the merit aid award:
What is the maximum merit award offered by RIT, or what is an average award? My DS was accepted and received $12k award which is a lot lower than expected making RIT unaffordable… thanks
If you’re talking about the Open House on campus, it’s on consecutive Saturdays, March 30 and April 7:

They’re also doing receptions around the country this month (at least the East Coast / Midwest) - your student should get an email about that as well. The Cleveland one is in two weeks.
OSS son applied to ME and still hasn’t heard. Hope it’s not a bad sign. ?
I saw 2 dates down. March 30, & April 6. Getting hard & more pricey flights. Wish I knew merit sooner.
Has anyone seen the costs for incoming students 2019? I saw 2017 was $52,000 & and a big jump to 2018 at $59,000. Hope that isn’t repeating this coming year. Also anyone know what they give for NMF?
Estimated cost they gave us was $59,300, not counting their estimate of $2,000 for books, supplies and other expenses.
Thats up $2000 then. What I saw included books. good to know.
Got my decision yesterday and got a merit award today, the 15k a year presidential scholarship! Wasn’t expecting this at all, what a nice surprise
@vl6432kl Could you share your SAT/gpa please? thanks
