Hi! I was wondering if students from previous years would post their gpa and act or sat scores and if they were accepted or not for regular decision.or early decision. I have a 3.5 unweighted gpa and a 23 on my act and will be applying for a liberal arts major, do you think i will get in?
Son just got accepted today 2/15/18 via email. GPA 3.8 unweighted ACT 29 Software/CS
Financial pkg mailed out later it said
Good luck to you
My Son was accepted ED GPA 3.4 unweighted SAT 1390 Computer Engineering
My son was accepted RD yesterday via email. SAT 1520, 3.7 UW/4.2 W, Computer Engineering
Curiosity is getting to me. Does anyone know if RIT rolls out decisions by major? Above posts are CS and Computer Engineering acceptances which were received this week. DS is awaiting his Chemical Engineering decision.
I don’t know, but DS was admitted to CS as well. ACT 36, 3.9 UF gpa.
Has anyone been accepted to any of the art majors yet? I applied for illustration and haven’t heard anything.
My S was accepted RD yesterday (got acceptance package in the mail). He may have had an email prior to yesterday. SAT 1490, UW 3.9/W 4.293, computer engineering, from Ohio.
@ohiocollegemom was the package shipped via UPS, USPS, or FedEx? Asking because the first two deliver tomorrow and I’m hoping to get the official package tomorrow.
Did it come with financial aid awards? Scholarships?
It came USPS. I don’t believe the financial aid award was in the package. I haven’t had a chance to sit down with my S on the details. Someone else had posted on this site that per RIT the financial aid letter would come later. My son is a NMF, and I don’t know how that plays into it because he now has to make his first-choice college by the correct deadline.

Dc admitted to Industrial Design by letter in the mail dated 2/15. No email.
those who got the letter in the mail - did the online status also changed?
@aquellita The online status changed before we got the mail. They upload the decision letters and then mail out the official package.
Son received email notification of acceptance to chemical engineering this afternoon. No snail mail package yet.
I wonder if the engineering school comes out before visual arts…ah well, waiting game continues.
Industrial design is part of CIAS.
Ahhhh oh well then, we’ll see
Does anyone know if there’s a set date for releasing the decions? Some other schools have announced their dates, has RIT mentioned theirs anywhere besides saying “mid-March”?
I have March 15th in my spreadsheet, which is based on something I read from their site or a mailing. We have already been notified though. I guess they roll out until then.
