RIT vs. Champlain vs. Rensselaer for Digital Arts

D accepted to all. Which has best program?

RIT or rensselaer are overall better schools if you can afford these options.

My son is currently a second semester sophomore at RIT and has been very happy there. His girlfriend is a graphic design major of some sort with a digital component and also loves the school. He is a math major and they say that she works harder. My son is really gifted in math… but I think they say that because of the number of studio hours she has and how long she works on projects.

The feeling I get from visiting RIT and talking to them is that there is a special sauce that they get from the way they mix the arts and the computer sciences – they seem to have both a sense that they are on the cutting edge of creativity and imaging science – I think it is their unique heritage of being in Rochester, home of Kodak, Xerox and Bauch and Lomb.

There also is a lot of support for students if needed. And, unlike a lot of schools, the students actually really like the president, he is considered cool.

Hope that helps.
