Those two are my top two choices, and now that i've gotten into both of them I can't decide which I should attend. I applied under IT fields - The thing is, im a MD state resident which makes UMBC cheaper whereas RIT is gonna cost quite a penny but I know RIT has amazing co-ops.

Which school has a better reputation in the IT world? Which one am I better off going to ?

For in-state tuition, I would go with UMBC. You are applying for Info Tech or Comp Sci at RIT? Are you applying for Comp Sci or Infor Tech at UMBC?

RIT - comp science
UMBC - information tech.

you might be better off with a degree in comp sci, if you can do it. Info Tech is rather watered down. But, then there is the price difference. Maybe go UMBC, try to transfer to comp sci.
