Rivermont vs Fountain Square?

I have been considering off campus housing because lots of acquaintances around me are going to live off campus,

and I looked up the apartments whose monthly costs are under 450…and it seems like Rivermont and Fountain Square may be nice choices.

Has anyone lived there during their undergraduate? How was it? was it sanitary? was the maintenance quick and responsive?
Any reviews are welcome, and please recommend other off campus apts if you know any.

Thanks!

Here’s some reviews that might be helpful. Have you considered how you will travel back and forth to campus each day? If you don’t have a car you may find these apartments inconvenient.

I would also check crime reports for anywhere you consider. Here’s a link to do this.

Make sure you factor in whether or not the units are furnished as well. Students coming to UA from locales far away like you, @paul2752‌, most likely aren’t prepared to furnish units by themselves. And, yes, a lot of these places will require a car or, at the minimum, a bike.

Good point @LucieTheLakie. You will also need to factor in cost of internet and look for access to laundry facilities. Some apartment complexes have a communal laundry room while others just have hook ups for washer and dryer. If you are not sure you will stay at the apartment you choose after the first year you might find it a hassle to be trying to move furniture and washer/dryer. Furniture rental is an option you could consider.

Also, passing on some great advice from Mom2collegekids, you want to look at your lease to see what your obligations would be in a shared apartment if your roommate decides to leave before the term of the lease is up.

Thanks y’all for the advice.
