RMWC appears headed to being co-ed

<p>Alums and students are mounting an effort to get the Board to hold off on such a decision. I am not sure how successful they will be, but several efforts are underway.</p>

<p>As an alum myself, I have to say I was taken aback by this move. I knew Arts & Science (the consulting group) had explored the co-ed option but I didn't think that would be taken seriously. I am a realist and I know single-sex colleges are a dying breed, but I figured there were women's colleges in far worse shape than R-MWC. I figured with the college's assets and decent reputation, it would be among the survivors as other women's colleges went co-ed.</p>
