Road Trip Planning

I couldn't decide which forum section to put this in so I just picked this one Anyway, I live in the Atlanta-metro area and am planning to go on a road trip college visiting in early August. I'm currently planning to go first to Houston for Rice, then St. Louis for WUSTL, possibly Durham for Duke, then back home; what are some other good schools along the way you guys think I should consider hitting as well?

uhhhh meramec commuity college and forest park community college are on the way to WUSTL...unless those aren't in your "range" or something

If you swing out to Dallas on your way between Houston and St. Louis, take a look at SMU (good merit money). Check out Vandy in Nashville. Sewanee if that kind of thing interests you. If you go to Duke, make sure to also see UNC-Chapel Hill; it's only 10 miles away. Wake Forest is quite close as well.

what does SMU stand for?

SMU = Southern Methodist University. Despite the name, it's not a religious school by any means. And it seems to be improving as far as academics.

@bendrumfront, I'm not really considering schools below the quality of gatech because I'm like 99.9% sure I can get in and go there for virtually no money.

There is a map of the US that shows colleges - Professor Pathfinder's map of US Colleges and Universities (available at Amazon) - that is very helpful in planning a college roadtrip. I think US News also produces a map like this.
