Robertson Scholars '19 Discussion

Can any current UNC students provide some insight into the Robertson process? When should we hear back if we made it past the first round? How many rounds are there? Is it more beneficial if you applied to UNC EA and were accepted? Thank you for any and all insight.

I’d also love to hear from any of you who also applied!

My D applied for a Robertson Scholarship and applied to both Duke and UNC-CH RD.

Applied. I believe we get the first notification mid February. Good luck.

Do we know if the notification will be via snail mail or email?

I believe it is via e-mail @comomom

I also applied, good luck everyone!

Thanks @Benzy50! Good luck to you too. This waiting is wearing on us all!

anyone hear anything yet?

I think it’s safe to say that is officially mid-February.

Nothing yet for me

Hi! Current Robertson at UNC. I know how stressful the process can be! Last year, I wasn’t notified of my Semi-finalist status until February 20th. You then Skype/phone interview. If you make it to Finalist weekend, it’s the end of March! In regard to the EA question, the Robertson website says “You may apply either Early Decision or Regular Decision to Duke, or Early Action or Regular Decision to UNC-Chapel Hill. As long as you apply for first-year undergraduate admission to one or both of these universities, you are eligible to apply for the Robertson.” I don’t believe there is any advantage for EA. Best of luck to everyone!

thanks!

Hi! I’m also eagerly awaiting the notification. I think it will come out sometime this week… hopefully in the next 3-4 days.
What’s the acceptance rate again? I heard it’s something like .125% of all applicants to UNC & Duke and 2% of people who filled out the application. Is that correct?

nothing today. I guess we are still technically mid February through this Friday.

Semi-finalists will be notified tomorrow, 2/19/15. They updated their website.

Just received my e-mail, not selected. Good luck to everyone else!

Selected. Happy and surprised. No honors or excel either.
