Robertson Scholars Program

Are all applicants to UNC considered for this? And is the supplement form required for consideration? If no, would it hurt my chances a lot if I didn't submit it? How many people are selected each year for this?

all UNC applicants ARE considered. the supplementary term is NOT recquired. that said...

your chances are extremely hurt by not filling it out. each year, 18 kids from UNC get the robertson (another 18 from duke). its super competitive, so youd have to be beyond spectacular for UNC to pull you out of the regular pool for robertson consideration without the supplement

Is now way too late to send it in?

december 1 was the deadline, so i would think so... you could try to contact the admissions? or email the robertson/unc admissions

keep in mind its 2 500 word essays, and 5 short answer. its no walk in the park

Are there any other program or scholarships at UNC besides the Roberston and Pogue that requires a separate application or is due before Jan. 5?
Thanks for the replies.

On the UNC application, can the ACT be superscored or does it have to be from one setting?

All applicants to UNC and to Duke are theoretically considered for the Robertson (with the exception of Morehead-Cain finalists, who are not considered for the Robertson at UNC).

Completing the supplement is in general a very good idea, although at this point I'm not sure because the deadline was December 1 so it's a question of whether or not you want to put the time into it given that it's possible they would never read it. I don't think submitting it now would hurt your chances, though.

They've already removed the forms, but if anyone can send me the forms, I'd really appreaciate it

I filled it out online, I'm not sure if there were forms you could actually send in. There probably were, but I really don't remember seeing any. I only know that they released the questions before the actual app for Robertson, but not in a form type, so that wouldn't be a help to you in sending in forms.
As far as ACT, I don't think composites are usually superscored anywhere (I know, unfortunately for me too haha. Mine would be higher because I got a 36 or 35 in every subject except science, I took the ACT twice, and if I could combine it would raise it one or two points)
